A Year in MX

1 Man, 1 Year, 1 Sport

Welcome to A Year in MX...

This text is replaced by the Flash movie.

This site is dedicated to following my progress as I attempt to watch all 12 rounds of the 2007 AMA Outdoor MX Season, as well as the MXDN (MX Des Nations).

I am now back in England after a surprisingly pleasant flight via Munich. I would like to take this opportunity to thank EVERYONE who got in contact with me throughout my trip and who helped me out along the way. All your support really pushed me to keep up with the blog writing and photo-taking, something I'm definitely thankful of now!
If you want to read a complete summary of my year, RacerX has published an article I wrote in the latest edition (January 2008) of their magazine... it can be found on page 266 and from a neutral point of view - I think it turned out awesome!

Thanks again, and I really hope you enjoyed my travels... see you next year ;)

Back to Reality

So the dream is over!!! I have finally reached an end to this American MX Nirvana. While I will still be the US until October 17th, I have no more Motocross events to attend and as a result, I am drawing a line under this trip.
However before you delete this website from your memory, I do still have a couple of things to publish on here... the final month of my blog, being one... as well as a surprise item. Don't worry, I will advertise it, when the time is right.
I am now a fully fledged member of the social networking sites MySpace and Facebook, so feel free to add me. Of course if you want to use more traditional methods to contact me, I will still answer all e-mails and contact forms.

It has been one helluva summer for me, and I really hope you've enjoyed reading about it. Just keep checking back for a bit longer and I should be able to reveal my plans for next year as well!!!

Ulterior Motive

Entry photo example

While the main aim of this trip is to explore America and watch some great MX action, I also realise that this is an opportunity for me to get my portfolio seen by a larger audience.

I am currently without a full-time job, and feel that this trip could lead to something. As the saying goes: "It's not what you know, but who you know" and with me travelling the length and breadth of America meeting hundreds of people along the way, I am hoping that an opportunity presents itself.

I don't just see it as a holiday, but also as good experience in networking and communication. Together with this website, and everything that I will be adding to it, I hope that it will be enough to convince someone that I am somebody worth employing.
